Neptune L`amour wrote:Metallica isn't bad if you get their older stuff, least that’s what I hear. Truth be told since I just download the stuff I don't know witch albums they come from, but Enter Sandman, Devil's Dance, King Nothing, Battery, Electric, Wherever I may Roam, Master of Puppets, For Whom the Bell Tolls and One are all pretty good. Honestly I've gotten a bit tired of them lately though, and have been listening to Ramstien, but I remember you said somewhere you didn't like them so...

Lets see, Gorillaz are pretty good, 11-19-2000 Soulchild Remix, Clint Eastwood, Ghost Train and Starshine are all nice. And you can't go wrong with Ozzy, Crazy Train, Paranoid, Black Sabbath (I'm pretty sure that’s the name of the song, everyone else seems to think its War Pigs) and Iron Man are all good.

And lately I've been listening to What’s Simple is True by Jewel. I saw the video a few years ago and the song has been stuck in my head since then, I just recently downloaded it.

Im not a big ozzy fan but crazy train is a good song, thanks ill download it right now.

following nailz and flint.....

The following albums provide a good intro to underground metal, which honestly kicks the crap out of 90% of current radio offerings:

Sentenced, _The Cold White Light_
Death, _Symbolic_
Nevermore, _Dead Heart In A Dead World_
Iced Earth, _Something Wicked This Way Comes_
Hypocrisy, _Hypocrisy_
Immortal, _At The Heart Of Winter_
Burzum, _Filosofem_
Opeth, _Blackwater Park_

Most of these are recent, all except the Burzum and maybe the Immortal should be available at any halfway decent record store. Good luck finding anything at Walmart, tho. If money's tight, buy the Iced Earth first, then Sentenced, then Death.

as nailz sez, anything to spread metal,

Hybrid Rainbow and I Think I Can by The Pillows. (J-rock)

Freur Frei and Hallelujah by Rammstein (Metal)

Supernova by The Echoing Green (Electronic, I think)

My Iron Lung by Radiohead (I dunno what type to call it, but it's one of my favorite songs.)

Happy Child and Swamp by Tweaker (Electronic rock, I think. Swamp is instrumental, BTW.)

He Said by The Hippos (Ska)

Screaming in Digital by Queensryche (Metal/rock)

Open Your Eyes by Guano Apes (Metal/rock)

Rabblerouser by MDFMK (Industrial, I think)

Cradle to Grave and Farewell to Solitude by The Second Child (Electronic Rock. Go Here)

Hope some of these work for you.
