Master Server Fund Raiser Update

Total gathered so far is $433.35 and hardware (I have not updated my web site yet... been to busy while at home, and can't at work)
Current Hardware Donations
3Ware 8 channel raid controller card
8 x 160 gig hard drives

So far the donators are

Me (of course ^_^... the money that Otakon is reimbursing me for expenses, like shipping and postage, there I will roll into this)

If anybody wants to donate hardware, we still need :
CPU (I might be able to use a spare 850 Socket-A K7, but only if I get a Socket-A motherboard)
Motherboard (I am going to try to get one with a 64-bit pci slot... so this will proabably need to be purchased instead of donated, worse case, I have a spare Via KT333 based motherboard)
Ram ( 256+ meg of DDR ram... I have no spare ram)
9 external 5.25" bay Case (need a case to hold the drive cages)
650 Watt power supply (I have a 400W spare... depends if it will work)
CD-Rom (mainly for installing the operating system... anything simple)
Small system Hard Drive (a new 20-40 gig hard drive for the operating system... I don't want to use a used hard drive here, just in case)
1000BT net card (gigabit eithernet card... I have one in my editing machine I could move over if need be)
Video Card (nothing fancy... and hell... if I get a motherboard with video built in I won't need it... otherwise I have some old PCI video cards)
8 x Hot Swap Removable ATA-133 5.25" drive cage (for the raid)
1394 FireWire Card (if it is not built into the motherboard)

We are so close... I am going to wait until Monday before I start purchasing equipment, incase anybody else wants to donate hardware (so there is no duplication of stuff)

no... the hard drives i have learned long ago, are not good to use in a mission critical location if they are used...

Thank you for the offer, but for the master archive I am going to keep all brand new hard drives.... now if you want to send a spare hard drive... for me personally (linux computer) you may... but it won't be for the master archive

Minor update...
Just the hard drives, not the Raid COntroller card is being taken care off... the raid controller card is back with the stuff still needed
