"Dont take the girl" by Tim Mcgraw
"I'm Already There" by Lonestar

"Christmas Shoes" by Charles (something) I cant quite remember the artist, but that is the saddest song ever.

Oh, I forgot about "Fake Plastic Trees" by Radiohead. That's pretty depressing too... O_o To me, anyway.

And "Shiny Happy People" frustrates me, because the first few seconds of the intro sound like a really good song. And yet it's not. ;)

Oh God I completely forgot about Radiohead. If only I could remember the names of their songs!! They've got a few really sad ones.

"No Quarter" by Led Zeppelin sounds sad in many parts. Especially the beginning. Close the door, put out the lights; no they won't be home tonight. Robert Plant's voice just sounds so sad in that song.

Oh and "Shiny Happy People" really bugs me too and it wasn't even overplayed much for me. Yeah it's like the first twelve notes sound good. And then they practically start the song over half way through. But off that CD, "Losing My Religion" is probably my favorite. See, I don't let songs get overplayed. That's why I stopped watching MTV and VH1 and listening to the radio constantly like I used to.

The Radiohead song 'Creep' inspired me to write a science fiction type short story...

the problem is I am good with concepts.....the stories themselves don't come out so good.
It plays a little on the lyrics from creep. In the story though, the person was rather forced into the world and made to feel like basic human desires, sympathy, religion (odd, since I am atheist, but I still understand religion's role to many people) and relationships were not meant for him since he didn't come about in a conventional way. Well, it kind of came out like GATTACA but with a different origin story.

Radiohead is good.

Mull historical society has a couple sad break up songs, now if only they wouldn't repeat lyrics so much.

I have to say 'Through Her Eyes' by Dream Theater. You should give it a listen. I also have to say 'Just Like a Pill' by Pink.

Nine Inch Nails has many tragic and beautiful songs, especially on their album, The Fragile. Tool has a couple of my favorites too -

Push It - A really amazing song (especially the live version which can be found on the CD that comes with Salival), which seems to be about hurting and being hurt by someone you love.

H. - One of my all time favorite songs, this one seems really depressing. Towards the end though, it really climaxes and leaves you with a feeling of hope.

Jamiroquai - Picture Of My Life

It's not really that sad, but to me, I think an emotion can be attached to a song. If I'm in a certain mood when I first hear the song, I tend to return to that mood. Whenever I listen to "Down In Flames" by Reel Big Fish, or "Prisoner" by 311, I always feel the same way as when I first heard it. Always.

Well, I'd have to say:

Linkin Park - My December (Flame me, Mr. Elitest Asshole!)

That I would.

Watched the first anime I ever saw as a child again. Silver Fang!
Saddest song would be when Akatora sacrifices himself to save the Leader and when the Leader dies. The song is named Tomorrow.

Tomorrow:

Moonlight shades shower that delightfully covers the fields
oh a sorrowful farewell now slowly fades away
Aah because today I’ve decided to stay with my peers
A promise of better tomorrow will certainly come

Tomorrow we will run together anew
Tomorrow we will be shining brightly

Somewhere inside of my heart, a cry of pain,
oh there is this glaring dream, when it comes, do behold a man with awe
Aah today for all time is splendid than yesterday and
tomorrow I have to set out on a voyage to the wide sea

Tomorrow I will be hoisting a large sail
Tomorrow I don’t know where I’m going

Because today I’ve decided to stay with my peers
A promise of better tomorrow will certainly

Tomorrow we will run together anew
Tomorrow we will be shining brightly
