The last 20min of that AWA doc seem to be my only favorite parts mostly because La Familia makes fun of each other :D

Dewd, do the doc!

Make up for all the bad ones. It seems to me that the few docs I have gotten to see rag on other people or just make sick jokes that only the creator of the doc and his/her friends get.

I personally being the ex-girlfriend of someone who made a doc. After seeing the doc I definately felt differently about him and the jokes he made seemed to me to be very childish and the fact that he defended himself to the end and still tends to be a bit childish about the whole situation.

I believe that if you do the doc show the fun parts of the con. Show everyone having fun. Don't show just some sick joke that just you and your friends will get. Plus before you film people ask them if its ok to film them. Get them on tape saying its ok. I have dealt with people doing docs at different kinds of locations.. not just anime cons. One thing that saves a lot of hassle. Ask the person when you turn on the camera. Say Hey my camera is on. Is it ok if I film you for my doc? As soon as they say yes... keep rolling. If they say no.. shut the cam off and move to the next canidate.

I for one would like to see more docs that would show the fans having fun. Not fans making fun of each other.

I say do it! I know you personally and I know that you are a good kid. And would never put someone in a doc that didn't want to be there!

So I say do the doc!

I agree with a lot of what has been said here and think that the principle of making a documentary is a good thing.

I think personally I'm not one for the style of documentary that seeks out people to make fools of themselves on camera or seeks to make a fool out of someone. There's enough of that crap on TV already. Real documentaries aim to depict what it's really like to be there and I'd be impressed if someone was able to actually do that.

I'll just trash the A-Kon doc I was planning on doing... Because from what I saw footage wise.. It wasn't all that great to really piece together a good doc.. But there were some good parts though.. So much was going on and I didn't get a chance to film it all...

I'm just going to start a new with an AWA 9 doc...
Please have fun and make this doc work for everyone...

That's how I want it to be and work...

What are everyones' thoughts on that?
I would like to have everyones' input on the creation of my doc for AWA 9!

Thanks for the Push BlueJellybean! :D

You can count on me to be in the AWA 9 doc! ^^ if you want me to be that is ... :?
I really agree with what's been said that if you do an actual documentary and not something that only a select few will be able to get (inside jokes..ect) then you'll do fine! Especially if you ask people to be in it instead of just putting them in it. Go for it!

You're right, I won't attack - I'll just call my lawyer ;) Actually, with all this feedback, Hitori, and what you've said, it sounds like your doc will actually be fun. I hope you do go ahead with it. Of course, if you're like me, you'll forget you brought a camera and get wasted, then spend an hour looking for it while popping vicodin in order to destroy the migraine caused by your flaming hangover. Then you have to kick that strange, nasty person out of your bed, and her friend. But maybe that's just me.

You know, its ok to mention my name Mandy. You may see it as childish thing but all we had were different points of view at the time. Plus I did apologize in person to everyone for my behavior and have layed off of it since. And no, last I recall you only saw 1 documentary out of the 3 I've made. You have only seen 1/2 of the Akon 13 Doc as well.

In my honest opinion, I don't think your in any position to have say at all about my own Docs since:

1. You weren't there for the Doc filmings.
2. You don't know the people who I spoke to and apologized to about the doc and for my behavior
3. A few jokes and pranks (a majority of which were done to each other...via MJ, Wonka, Julian, Jonathan, and Myself) may seem childish to someone like you....but to me they are some of the best memories I;ve had with my friends.

So think next time you try insulting my Documentaries as....."Bad Ones"
