*Damn the lack of an edit button.*

I wouldn't mind driving around on Saturday/Sunday.

I'll be driving up with my older brother, so I'll have a car. I don't know if he's going to be a bitch about it, "Mom and Dad don't want you to drive around people you don't know around a fucking meetropolis!" You can never anticipate the reactions of an older brother, especially one that's 4 inches taller and 100 lbs heaver than you

On a similar note, my brother attended Georgia Tech, so he's somewhat familiar with the area. He might be able to suggest something. He's in Atlanta as I'm typing, too. He's visiting his girlfriend and hanging out with his frat brothers. At any rate, he'll have some knowledge as to a nice, reasonably priced place where we can all fit in. I've only beed to Atlanta a few times, but one time I was there we visited Junior's, which is essentially a fast food resturant, but it's nice inside :D They have different "rooms" where you can eat: One room is filled with school desks, another, is the ESPN room, I believe. All the TVs in the room are on ESPN. Also, it's home to...*tries to remember*..I believe it has the largest drive-thru in the nation, if not the world. *Shrugs* Well, they also have Orange Cream shakes! *Thumbs up* Whatever, we do have a little moer than a month to plan this shindig out.

*Goes to bed, hoping to awake and read people's responses*

Nearby Food Pick Up:

Riverdale - 6 miles/12 minutes
- has most of your fast food and a some restaurants
- hasn't grown in a while so it doesn't have the newest stuff

Morrow - 9 miles/16 minutes
- has the largest mall near the airport and all of the restaurants that come with an active mall

Downtown Atlanta - 11 miles/18 minutes
- home of the Varsity and other downtown restaurants
- driving there on Saturday or Sunday should be fine, Friday will be a nightmare
- not the best selection of pick ups for the drive unless you want a particular restaurant

Fayetteville - 14 miles/20 minutes
- the furthest drive but the easiest for traffic and directions
- growing area, has the most stuff for south metro Atlanta
- new Japanese restaurant (table grill/sushi bar)
- local grocery stores sell sushi

About that place....

I can't help it. When I moved here, a couple people told me about The Varsity, and I 've yet to see the big deal.

What, me disappointed in the food? Surely you jest....

lol. Nothing beats the stench of nasty onion-ring smell mixing with car exhaust in a dorm room.

How'd you get the car into the dorm room? I remember how small my dorm room was...

Whoops, I screwed up the quoting somehow...

/me sighs

Look at the picture below. You see that little building labeled with the number '6' that happens to be located beside I-75/I-85? That building was where I used to live. The red-ish box is where the Varsity is located. If you leave the window open in the room not only do you have the stench from the Varsity enter the room... you get the car exhaust from traffic from the interstate and North Avenue.

Yeah, let's drive an extra 15-20 miles through the worst traffic in the city to an area which has both the highest sales tax rate and the most over priced resturants and mall in the state :P

Bah, you're just being negative. Actually, I think that area is over-rated. There are some good places in the downtown and midtown areas that are pretty dang good. One of the places I've been meaning to go is Rocky Mountain Pizza which is just of Tech's campus.
