So... mjpeg codec right. What if I just convert the codecs instead of converting the vob. file . (i.e. from divx to mjpeg instead of vob. to mjpeg) would that work just as well?

yes, but you would screw up some video quality with that.
and mjpeg codec wouldn't either be the optimal solution for this ;)
Read the guides here for optimal solutions for this.

Hey KMV...
I Converted a clip from divx to mpeg (I don't have mjpeg codecs unless they're under another name) but anyway, the mpeg didn't work either. where do I get mjpeg codecs?

Free to download, $28 to get rid of the watermark.

Hey! they raised the price of the non-commercial license from $18 to $28.

Bastards. Glad I bought mine when it was cheaper.

Ehehe... ummm...
Well... I guess I got back to ya all sooner than anticipated.
OK... I downloaded PICVideo from furrycurry' link. and then installed.
But it's not showing up in any of the codecs list (I.E. FlaskMpeg, Adobe premiere Export settings... and so on)

What Windows OS are you using? Did you get any weird errors during install?

If it's a recent Windows:

NT, 2K, and XP won't let you modify system files as a normal user. Try installing the codec as the system administrator -- either login as admin or right-click, select "Run as...", and select the administrator account.

If not -- well, I'm not quite sure what could be going on. The best advice I can give right now is "reinstall", which is hardly good advice at all. Damn, I be rappin' this mothaf*ka thru da hall, gotta go make da call. That's right, y'all. Peace.

What exactly did you do to install it?

and about always -- Um...wow, but it's already over two months old :P

Actually, I'm pretty certain that when I installed the PICVideo codec in W2K I was just running in my normal-user login and not Admin, so that shouldn't be the problem. I'd assume you've rebooted (sometimes necessary to get everything to recognize the newly installed codecs), since Windows usually forces you to at the drop of a hat. I don't know about Flask, but Premiere should have no problems with it. Did you perchance have another MJPEG codec installed before and not know about it that could be overriding it?

Post some screenshots of the problem, and we might be able to create a clearer solution.

It would help sooooo much if you could take a screenshot of these lines that are vexing you and post in in this thread. It might not have anything to do with your transparency settings at all.

are you using interlaced footage?

are any of the clips slowed down below 100% speed? Premiere automatically tries to deinterlace clips if you set the speed below 100%, and that can screw up progressive footage pretty good.

I thought about the slow mo thing... but it's all at 100% and anyways... I know about the feild options thing. So that ain't it....
But I friggin love that screenshot idea....
ummm...
How do I post a pic?
I'm gonna reconnect with my other pc (the one my footage is on) and try posting one... let's see if I can't figure it out on my own...lol

You're sure under Keyframe & Rendering for your project settings you have Fields set to "No Fields". Check the Project menu then click on Settings viewer. Down at the bottom it should say "No Fields" on each entry.

That's almost certainly interlacing. Resizing the pic makes it a little harder to tell, but I'm pretty sure.

PS: it's a better idea to convert your mp3 audio to WAV for use in Premiere.
