Postby saithen » Fri Jun 13, 2003 8:38 pm

umm.....before anyone says anything I have allready gone through the faqs and stuff, but didn't understand it. So if some one could tell me what I'm doing wrong that would be great. My prob. is I made an amv thats 4.00 min long but it ended up being 648 mb. big. I was wondering how to make it smaller. Thanx!

Sounds like you did an mpeg2 with way out of whack settings at 720x480 with uncompressed audio.

Could you tell me what your settings were?
What program you compressed it in.

Everything down to the smallest detail! 8)

But I thought you read through the guides/faq's on the site?? :?

You downloaded all the available codecs and packs?
The AMV app?

You should try exporting it as a Huffy first...
Then use Virtual Dub to make a deinterlaced Master file as a Huffy.
And Uncompressed audio!

After that, you should delete the first Huffy and use the deinterlaced Master file.

Use VDub to make XviD/DivX manageable file sizes for download.
And Compress the audio!
Use TMpegEnc to make Mpeg 1 files for download... and/or high quality Mpeg 2 files.
And Compress the audio!

The guides are there to help out as well! 8)
