(Newbie Question) Stars? Local(#)?

Postby McClainE » Thu Jun 12, 2003 1:11 pm

A day or two ago my girlfriend and I first created a login and uploaded our first AMV.

<shameless_plug>Evangelion and Puddle of Mudd's She hates me; download it today!</shameless_plug>

Since then we've gotten a couple hits, an opinion, some stars, etc... but... well, the FAQ seems to imply we know more than nothing about your system, so ...

Presumably the "stars" thing is a rating given by people that downloaded our AMV (Correct?). Is there a fixed number of stars (e.g. three-stars-out-of-ten) or does it just accumulate (e.g. 35 people liked this vid, so you have 35 stars)?

And there's also a thing that says "Local" with a number after it. I know the "Local" refers in some way to the vid that's stored on the 'org's webspace, but what's the number for? Is that the number of times someone has downloaded the file?

Thanks for any help ;)

The when someone downloads your video, they give it a star rating from 1 to 5. The number that you see is the average of all the ratings that you have recieved. The number beside "Local" is the number of times it was downloaded.
