Bring Me to Life

Just saw the official Music Video on MTV.

Had to say that anyone on the org could do better then that. ANYONE.

Anyone else's thoughts on the music video to that song? Or Evanessence(sp.) in general?

You know, I hear that song and I think Of Kikyo from inu yasha. I don't like it b/c I HATE Kikyo (psyco bitch) but she DOES fit those lyrics. If someone does that for an AMV PLEASE don't make it a Kikyo/inu yasha vid... If I could get that song or the footage I'd probly do a bulma/Vegeta vid

I keep wondering about Evanescense....are they consciously ripping off Lacuna Coil and The Gathering, or did they evolve this style independently?

They have one-hit wonder stamped all over them, which is rather unfortunate, as the illwill resulting from the overplay of "Bring Me To Life" will kill dead any attempts from these artistically superior and long-established bands to move more into the mainstream. Lacuna Coil may have their new single "Heaven's A Lie" 'in rotation' on a certain leading edge rock station, but who's to say how long that'll last?

If they had a lineup, as opposed to two people, session players, and guest musicians/vocalists, and a recording history prior to their major-debut (yes, they allegedly put out some EPs on Wind-Up, but they're currently pulling a Pantera and pretending their early material doesn't exist), then it might be less bad.

Fallen is hands-down the best album in my collection. Ten of its eleven tracks are good to excellent. That's unheard of.

omg. Someone actually had a thought like me.
Passing out on the floor right now.

Evanescence.. way overplayed now. Ive heard random tracks aside from bring me to life. Beautiful Voice, very mystical. Give Unto Me, is amazingly beautiful.. Very amazed actually when i heard it, but unfortunently.. the whole one hit wonder thing hurts people. Pushes potential listeners away.. Since you like Lacuna, and Gathering.. Take a peek at Give unto me if you havent heard it. 100 times better then bring me to life and shows her real potential.
You might like it.

Those tracks that you mentioned aren't on the Fallen record. Where did you get them? Do they have another CD out, or are you finding those on the internet somewhere? It just seems like they wouldn't release unofficial versions of their songs like that on the internet.

Also, I'd like to mention that I like Evanescence a lot. The Fallen CD is amazing, even though a few songs are disappointing. Favorite songs: Bring Me To Life, Track07(I forgot what it's called), and Hello.

I was randomnly searching the net and found it.. Lets see, I have the lyrics here..

I've been waching you from a distance
But distance sees through your disguise
All I want from you is your hurting
I want to heal you
I want to save you from the dark

Give unto me your troubles
I'll endure your suffering
Place onto me your burdens
I'll drink your deadly poison

Why should I care if they hurt you
Somehow it matters more to me
Than if I were hurting myself
Save you, I'll save you

Give unto me your troubles
I'll endure your suffering
Place onto me your burdens
I'll drink your deadly poison

Fear not the flame of my love's candle
Let it be the sun in your world of darkness
Give unto me all that frightens you
I'll have your nightmares for you if you'll sleep soundly

On the topic of Evan, Im virtually clueless.. This song from the bits and pieces Ive heard of her was the only one to capture me. I wish I could offer more advice on where and what its from.. Searchy Searchy real quick,

Her Cds are as follows
Evanescence EP
Whisper EP
Origin
Fallen

And someone posted it was a early demo.

Maybe that will help ya, wish I could be more useful.. :)

If this is the "creator" of Anime Junkies, I'd kill myself.

Why??

Because he's a jerkoff.

Long story short, http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/editorial.php?id=43

That.

(Sorry for the off-topic-ness. BTW, Evanescence sucks. :P)

I like this band, Also, there's a CD or a band called Origin who's either the same band or a complete ripoff with the same singer that sounds just as amazing.

If you look at my profile I clearly state that I have NOTHING to do with the "anime junkies" or whatever they are called. I don't blame you for not knowing, nobody looks at profiles anyway. I'm also a girl. I think the owner of "anime junkies" is a guy. I also don't do flames. I did a flame once and got a disturbing threat back so I don't do it anymore.
Origin is the name of a limited release by Evanescence. It came out a while ago, sold at whatever shows they put on in (Arkansas?)
