I can't make up my mind between Utena,Eva or Dragonball. All of them suck pretty bad.

Agreed. Noir is an awesome anime. The plot starts off slow, but that's because they want you to have that "what the hell is going on? I wanna know!" mentality. In my opinion it has one of the best, most satisfying endings of any anime I've seen.

As for a bad anime, I usually try to block those out of my memory, but out of the ones I remember, I'd have to say DBZ is the worst: It should be called "How to make a 25 minute show using 6 frames of new animation.

Any generic DBZ episode
Step 1: Take 5 minutes in the begining to talk about what happened "Previously on Dragon Ball Z!" and 5 minutes for the coming attractions at the end.
Step 2: Have characters stand around gritting their teeth and thinking about how strong eachother is for 10 minutes (requires 2 frames of reused animation per character)
Step 3: If a fight scene is even to take PLACE get THREE old frames of animation and play that over and over again for the "fighting" for 3 minutes.
Step 4: Use 6 new frames for the start of a never-before-seen-MORE-powerful-form-of-a-character.

I'll never forget the episode that was 30 minutes of 14 people deciding who's going to fight who.

Realistic my ass. You have villains with submachine guns (that don't seem to run out of ammo), who can hardly hit anything. Realistically, they'd reload more often. They also wouldn't just burn off a magazine at a character. There's no blood. NOT REALISTIC! I'm not even talking gallons here, just a small pool would be enough. PEOPLE BLEED WHEN SHOT! The Soldats would be ok if they didn't have bunch of mystic mumbo jumbo bullshit going on.

Noir isn't a bad series, just overly long, dull, and unrealistic. They've could've told the story in 13 episodes, and had some blood.

Personally, Love Hina makes me ill. Twelve-year-olds as romantic interests? No thank you, I can go watch the news if I want to hear about sickos like that. -_-

It had a good start, with the "Inside Keitaro's Head" shots, but once it got rid of that and brought little girls into the "harem", I gave up on it.

What's her face with the sword and Keitaro's aunt were neat characters, but that was not nearly enough to keep me watching through the creepy-old-man aspect and the annoying, "dull, irritating guy every chick in the universe wants to boff for no apparent reason" premise.

I'm done. ;)

PrincessMilli, are you talking about 3x3 Eyes? I think the word you're looking for is sanjiyan. I actually really liked it, subbed. If that's what you're talking about... I don't know why you hate it. But hey, that's your opinion.

I think it would have to be DBZ for me. I was searching my head viligantly for another one but it keeps eluding me. Pretty much every DBZ episode is typical. It's like this: Fight, lose, train, fight, draw on hidden strength, lose again, get stronger, win! And it takes like four episodes to get through one fight!

Sarah the boring are you on crack? There are no 12 year olds on Love hina! Shinobu is 13 and su is 14. Aunt haruka makes me sick with that cig in her mouth. Motoko is the boringest of all the girls because her character is not cute or funny. As for Keitaro having a harem the girls like to pick on him more than love him its not at all like the situation in Tenchi. Love hina has a great plot also. So please if your saying you like Dbz more than love hina you need to get off the crack.

Tenchi, comes to mind, as does gundam wing and evangelion.

I mean seriously folk "NOT JUST ONE BUT TWO, COUNT EM TWO CRAPPY ENDINGS!!!"

I would happly sit through an entire saga of DBZ then one episode of gundam wing.

I'm sorry, for personal reasons, I just can't find child molestation "cute or funny". Call me a prude.

And the entire point of that series is "oops! a chick is naked!" "oops! a chick just fell on the boring hero that all the fanboys think they are JUST like! hehehehe!"

It's so brain-dead. It's created for a particular purpose: to provide fapping fodder for fanboys too wussy to actually get REAL hentai.

With disturbingly young girls. Of course.

Ick.

Personally I dislike those Tenchi clones for the above reasons

And add soap operas to my list. I.e., Maison Ikokku, Marmalade Boy, et. al.... :x

First off...

before I talk about the subject of this thread, I wanted to comment on one thing.

The age of sexual consent in Japan used to be 13. It is now 15 (and 16 in some areas)

Many shows have the main character between 13 and 15, which in Japan is that "coming of age" age. In the US, our "coming of age" is 16 to 18.

If you look at many "coming of age" stories in anime, you will see that the main character is in the 13-15 age range. True, in some dubs they adjust the age...

In "Robotech" they change Rick Hunter's age to 17 or 18... but in Macross he was only 15.

Romantic Comedies tend to use the 13-15 age range as well... just as many of the Romantic comedies here in the US use the 16-18 age range.

You have to appretiate the culture where these shows are coming from...

Anyway... with that said...

I have a large number of anime I hate or dislike, but some of the biggest I can think of are...

Voltage Fighter Gowcaiser
Dog Soldier
El Hazard: The Wanderers (and please note that the original El Hazard OAV is in my top 10 list)
and
all the Fatal Fury titles I have seen.

Well, there aren't many anime titles that I dislike. Once in a while I do come across something that just hurts to watch. That painfull show would be Mon Cole Knights, the dubbed version (on FOX ^_^). Like really, I've never seen a show take so little time to introduce the plot and characters, I barely knew what were the characters names before they were already on some adventure. eg: We met the main characters, the discoved this monster world snd already started exploring it in like 5 minutes!

pilot candidate sucks harder than a vacuum cleaner, spoofing off of too many series for it to stand out. ive seen more action in a drag - on ball z episode than in this whole series. cg sucks too.

i dunno.. maybe i'm some of you are just a bit different from me cause i mean.. Evangelion is one of the best series that ever came out..
I say the same to Gundam Wing as well...
But .. just gundam WING, all the others seemed pretty sucky to me...

As for tenchi, i'm not a big fan... I really see no main plot in it..
Several episodes consist of simply Ryoko and Aeka (spelling.. sorry :D ) just going around pinching each other and trying to get tenchi for themselves...
Now i know this seems to happen in several other animes but i mean... this happens quite often...
