There's BeSweet, but it's user interface is cluttered.

Look for the LAME MP3 output plugin for WinAmp.

Also CDex is a good one.

I use an old encoder . . .

I use an old encoder that is free . . but does not make Joint-Stereo ^^

you select the Audio and Speed and it does the rest.

And now for some specs:
- windows 95/98/NT only
- multithreaded
- layer 1,2 : mono, stereo, joint stereo
audio mpg I (32, 44.1, 48 kHz)
audio mpg II (16, 22.05, 24 kHz)
- layer 3 : mono, stereo
audio mpg I (32, 44.1, 48 kHz)
- wide range of bitrates
- miscellanious flags
- sources: 16 bit raw pcm
16 or 8 bit wav pcm
scsi cdrom source
- multifile or track select (let your computer do the work at night)
- pretty slow
- progress indicator
- and more... :)

the address used to be . . http://www.isafeelin.org/soloh/mpegEnc.html
