MovieXone & compression help

Postby Beady » Wed Jul 24, 2002 2:05 am

I got MovieXone last ngiht and was playing around with it trying to simple overlay an mp3 on top of a music video because the sound was absolutely horrible. After having it render, the output file was 1.3 GIGS!! The original was only 35 meg. I used the DivX 5.01 codec to "compress" it, I even tried a few others, but none seemed to work.

Can someone please give me a few hints as to what I might have done wrong, or just not done at all?

If I can figure this out, maybe I'll have my own AMV to be flamed over! :P

Thanks.

if your going to do things in the "compressed state" and not the "raw" then "GET SOFTWARE THAT USES COMPRESSED FILES !"

magix.com
--English
------Products and Shop
-----------MAGIX video deLuxe

$49.95 to buy . . free to try

this way you can edit and play with your files compressed; works for me.

**Warning**

unlike Adobe Primere, this program IS a Resource HOG!

I'm just starting out and using MovieXone myself. At first I was annoyed by the huge files that MovieXone uses. I solved the problem by getting my hands on TMPGEnc 2.5 at http://www.tmpgenc.net/. This handy little utility will let you compress that raw AVI to a MPEG1 format. The trial version is free for download.
Hope I helped.
