DVD Cover Art

Post by DJ_Izumi » Wed Aug 07, 2002 6:00 pm

I did these a few days, covers for DVD's of an anime that dosn't exist.

I want to know if the graphics and design look right, and almost ligit.

These are the false DVDs: http://tachibana.dhs.org/DVD-Stage1-Vol4-and-Vol5.jpg

And this is the image I used as a base: http://www.lionsgateinfo.com/InfoSite/e ... 300dpi.jpg

Keep in mind, that the image is 'cleaner' then the real thing, to make it look more presentable online. But as for the graphic and design work, how real they look?

I think your problem is the Real backgrounds with the anime pixtures in the front... makes it loook kinda cheesy fake ....

That's the style I was shooting for... Actually, we're planning to make a THS video, in the real world, but we're intending on all live action. :P

They arn't supposed to look like authentic photo's.
I ment the Graphics and Design aspect only. If I wanted them to look like authentic photo's, I'd print the cover images out, insert them into DVD cases, and print them out.

The images look clean to make them more presntable online. It's an advertising image.

Well, if you had different backgrounds they'd look better, but the drawings look nice.

man crouchy are we.... you asked me an

were you really looking for a opinion or did you just want to show off you drawing skills to the drawing challeneged(i.e me)....

you know ... yeah so there take that...

I mean you're probably going to shrink it down a bit... quite frankely it looks nothing like the design of the "O" movie DVD cover, but Iam not sure... it's suppose to look like a "DVD cover" with all the little logos and stuff or something or something or whatever..or something,..

okay I see now..

yeah it looks like the design, but you could tell that already couldn't you...

I thaught ADV's OVA release only had 2 volumes... I don't remember anything about 'Seduction'...

And what does that have to do with anything with this thread? :\
