Net broadcasting- trance?

Postby ErMaC » Thu Aug 08, 2002 5:11 am

Hey since I no longer have a radio show on KUCI but I still have the desire to do trance broadcasting, I've been thinking about doing internet broadcasting. I don't give a s-word about the legal crap going on, I seriously doubt there will ever be away for the feds to track down every little shoutcast station out there, but I'm wondering if anyone knows good places to use for shoutcast relays.

Live365 isn't free anymore, and I don't know of any other good places. Does anyone else run a shoutcast station and what do you use?

hmmm

well, your not going to like these:

VDOphone used to have a way, and it was free and possibly
still is free, for you be your own Server 24/7 and all they needed
was Pirch98 and an address to see & hear your braudcast.

Real Networks 5.0 used to let you send, from your computer as
a server, 24/7 to anyone who would listen or watch, and the License
was free . . I still have mine, it is licensed and we send College
Football Games from it.

the other would be a simple JAVA RELAY NETWORK that you make for
sending and people get the software from you for "how to listen to you"
sorta like VNN used to do from their College Dorm Rooms which
also featured a Network of ftp-slips for requesting and sending files.

I know that these are not what you had in mind, but maybe they are a starting point ^_^

-- just an idea

please don't yell at me for this ~_~
