Everclear - whatever it's called. *runs for CD cover* El Distorto de Melodica.

Regular rock, of course.

...I like it, anyway.

Heh, looks my name is becoming the de facto spelling in people's heads  . The actual title is "The Call Of Cthulhu".

But ditto to those.

Some other good stuff:

Sepultura - "Inquisition Symphony"
The instrumental cover of "Amazing Grace" by the Dropkick Murphys kicks ass, too.
Not "rocky", but the Emerson, Lake, And Palmer version of "Hoedown" is pretty damn cool, too.

That's about all I can think of now.

Apocalyptica - Inquisition Symphony

:?

The only other one I can think of right now is Dance of Eternity by Dream Theater. Well, that and Transylvania and 1776 by Iced Earth.

Actually, it's "The Call of Ktulu". Or at least that's what the cd case says.

a few from iced earth scream out .... phantom of the opera .... Transylvania, as stated earlier .. & Dante's Inferno ... Rammstein .. a couple tracks .. eskimos and egypt ...(and especially a brief instrumental during ich will)

and on a softer note ... Radiohead - High and Dry's opening .... about 30 seconds of goodness.
...the problem I see a lot is that many good amv makers think they suck, and many bad amv makers think they're good.
I've seen it happen, man! I've SEEN IT!..

Yeah but... Dante's Inferno isn't an instrumental. And if you mean The Phantom Opera Ghost, that's not an instrumental either.

Rob Dougan (Rob D.) has some good work, his album with the instrumental versions of his songs is going to be released soon (May 4?).

Era also does some good work, at times kinda sounds like someone took the Top Gun soundtrack and put the London Symphony Orchestra behind it..good stuff.

yea i re-read the topic after and realized what it wanted... o well the songs that i listed, had instances where their were they were sin-vocals for a period of time, that i thought by themselves were stunning to listen to.... (especially dante's inferno .... 10 minutes, with few lyrics... it seems like most of it is just great without the vocals.)
