Virtula dub help

Ok I have finshed my music video and wat get rid those subtitles. I down loaded virtual dub and di d everything that was intructed in the removing subtitles page on AMV site. (I selected fiter and got null transform but hit clipping button because I couldn't find the croping button) But when it was finshed I got this wierd file. And when I tried to open it to see it, the page diected me to some web page that said it couldn't be open. My edit softwere dosen't have croping feture and I don't really want buy adobe. (The download of it only last for couple mounths and I want make videos all the time) I really don't want do LogoAway and REALLY don't want do image editing.I just want find nice easy get ride my subtitles so it doesn't look trashy.
can anyone help or tell me what I'm doing wrong?

If you crop the video you need to make sure the horizontal and vertical resoltions are multiples of 16

you can set boarders over the subs, so that it looks like 16:9
