I made a really huge mistake by not compressing my audio :?

Is there a way in virtualdub to take my Premiere exported avi and compress the audio?

That is by not losing any quality in the video itself?

yup. In Virtualdub, set the video settings to "direct stream copy". This will just copy your video as-is to the new file. Then, just set your audio compression and you're good to go.
