I bought them the day after Christmas so the auction page doesnt exist anymoreNappy wrote:hmm u sure they are even dvds? wanna show us the auction to see what he was selling? Hks, Region 2s, vcds, divx on disks, who knows what those ebay ppl sell o_o If its the real deal region 1s then they shouldn't have probs. Otherwise try to get ur money back @_@
Sierra Lorna wrote:I've actually had this happen to me a few times before. My advice to you would actually be to try again later. It's really weird, but my DVD drive just doesn't read certain DVDs as well as others. I'm not really sure what causes it, but usually your computer will eventually be able to read the DVDs if you keep trying. So, reboot your computer, or wait a few days, and try again!
You can also try cleaning the DVDs for fingerprints... that's how I fixed the problem with this one FF9 disc. Clean the DVD really well with a soft cloth and the drive might be able to read it better.
I hope this will help fix your problem!
The DVDs have a blue surface...BishounenStalker wrote:I know this will sound like a really random question, but what color is the read surface of the DVD? Because some computers or even CD players won't read sertain colors.
For instance, my discman won't read CDs with blue or dark read surfaces. And whil the DVD drive at home will read Playstation CDs for ripping, the one on my laptop won't because it's a black read surface.
He didnt buy the episodes in DVD format. He had some really high quality vhs tapes or vcds or something of the series and just burned them onto DVD discs..Zarxrax wrote:They almost certainly aren't region 2 dvds if they work in a PS2. I'm assuming that its an american PS2. Also they can not be region 1 dvds, as Sailor Stars is not released in Region 1.
hmm, i dunno, i had them built in w/ my computer when i first bought it. theyre prolly 2-3 years old or so.kthulhu wrote:Hmmm, that could be the problem. I've heard some DVD-ROM drives don't like DVD-R media. How old are your drives anyhow?

none of my friends have computers except for one and hers is ancient. i dont know anyone who is into computers etc. lol *sniff* im all alone...Zarxrax wrote:I would say see if you can get them to work on a friends computer. If so, maybe you could get them to let you borrow their dvd-rom O_o
i will probably do that. i'll see if i cant get them to work in a few days then i will just buy a new dvd-rom.Fungie½ wrote:My DVD-ROM is from 1999 and cannot play DVD-R's. It played perfectly in my DVD player but won't work. Best bet is if you cannot get them to play in the next couple of days, get a new DVD-ROM. They're pretty cheap now a days, like I saw one for $50 ^^
