AAAaaahhh yes.. The joy of sending your videos off to a con and never seeing them again..

I'm sending mine off this week.

just out of curiousity, are there any cons that give back your submitted tapes? and what the hell do they do with the tapes anyways?

Some cons require a S.A.S.E (Self Addressed Stamped Envelope) which is to be included along with your entry. Reading the rules on the cons in question is really good to find out if it's possible or not. 8) As for the ones that keep the entries, they become property of the con itself. They might use the footage for promotional purposes. It's different depending on which con you enter. Reading through contest rules will be a good thing to do. 8)

Quu is handling the FTP server, and he was at Otakon this past weekend. I'm guessing this interfered with his ability to deal with the upload requests.

I have a cool dry basement to store all the tapes in...

I like to archive things... store them for some time in the furutre....

at cons where i run things... you don't get the tapes back...
