So you have no intent on listing future contests? Is that the deal?

The quick answer was going to be "No".Ashton wrote:So you have no intent on listing future contests? Is that the deal?
But now that you've mentioned it, I suppose I could add list entries with just the con name and date - and no link. When the contest results come in, I'd just change the list text into the appropriate link.
That sounds good, actually. But it may have to wait until I get my Sakura-Con video finished. (Less than two weeks to that deadline...)
(Hmmm...why did this thread get sticky?)

Not a very good list. You are missing a LOT of contests.TaranT wrote:For anyone who has linked to this site or put it on his/her favorites list, please note the new address by going to the link in my sig.
Background: my one year account at FeaturePrice came due yesterday and they terminated it without even a "Fare thee well!" or a "Would you like to continue your service?" No big deal. This new site should do as well even though it has a very low allowed-bandwidth.

I'd like to see you go through the effort of keeping a list of results for AMV contests...I for one support what he's doing...There are tons of AMV contests out there...As a AMV co-ordinator I always wanted someone to actually do what he's doing as it keeps a good document of past contests for reference...Not a very good list. You are missing a LOT of contests.
Why don't you help him out if you think he is missing too many contests and see how much work it really is...?

No worries (practicing my "down under" accent)...hackerzc is just getting even for another post of mine.
Many contests will not get listed. For one thing, there are far too many of them. And many don't bother to compile the necessary info. And then there are the ones that fall into chaos. This can even happen to the big cons, last year's ACen, for example. As I recall, even the ACen contest organizer didn't know which videos had won.
That's the way it is, and I'm just collecting whatever is easy to get. CSUN, BTW, is not a con, but it was a publicly held contest and the results were readily available (i.e. here on the forum).
