Deadline?

Postby The Wired Knight » Wed Jan 22, 2003 4:26 pm

So how many projects have you ever had running at once that all needed to be completed in a seemingly small amount of time?

I have three projects running all at once that all need to be completed by or around the time of AX or its deadline. So suffice to say, I'm screwed...especially since I just got premiere and am trying to get it to accept the DVD2AVI codec, which it loaths -_-

I'll never have more than one running. I don't have the storage space to do it.

For me, it's such an undertaking to rip the DVDs and make MJPEG work files that I can only do one at a time. But I have several ideas floating around that get prioritized, some of which are not AMVs (Columbus Crew highlight reel, ACen graphics, etc).

Check that: if it's a short AMV project, like "Mission: Improbable" or if I only plan to use a small amount of footage, like with my Disney DDR Project track, then I can probably have two things captured and ready to use.

Wait, AVIsynth is one of the few thigns I don't have. How do I use that to solve the problem? Right now I'm trying to get my capture device to encode in Huffy since Premiere will accept Huffy. However the program warns me that it might have trouble so I'll see what happens this weekend. But how do I get it to take DVD2AVI?

The method in the guide was attempted, didn't work for me and the guy who was helping me (although he may not have used the same method) lost some files to what he was trying.

The Wired Knight: What version of DVD2AVI are you using? I was having some problems as well. I was using Ver. 1.74, and when I consulted jbone, he said that you needed Ver. 1.76

1.74 so I think that's the problem right there. Thanks for the notice, my capture program is a bit outdated so that's probably the cause. I messed with it a bit and got some patches and I think I've got the thing set so I can encode in different formats other than DVD2AVI thankfully. Took me a while though since the only way it wanted to give me the dimensions I wanted was in DVD2AVI.
