I definitely want to hear what you're working on, but not until you're ready to show it to us.

Since you're into Aesop Rock (I assume), have you ever heard Mr. Lif? He's probably my fav MC right now. They're on the same label, which doesn't mean you're going to love him, but everything I've heard from Definitive Jux is amazing. 3 of their releases made my year-end list, I think.

Yeah, Aesop Rock has to be my second favorite artist. His CD "Labor Days" is just a great CD all around. I do know Mr. Lif though, and he is good. I don't actually own any of his stuff, but the whole DefJux lineup rules (including El-P, RJD2, Aesop Rock, the Weatherman, and Cannibal Ox)

I was thinking about doing another independent track here soon, atonal, at 750 tempo, in 15/4 (with absolutely no grouping), with a lot of brass, and most likely some distorted sine waves...fightening...mind you, this will be phrased though.

15/4...nice...one of my friends once wrote a song in 11/8. I know it's not that funky, but it still sounded cool.

I was actually thinking 26/8.

My friend and I are all about odd time sigs, most of our stuff is in 7/4 or cantains no time signature at all *L*

Aesop Rock is awesome. As a general rule, I despise rap. Even the stuff that's considered top of the line. Eminem (solely for how he sounds) and Aesop Rock are the exceptions, and Aesop's the only one I liked enough to buy his CD. I got Labor Days, and I really enjoy it.

I forget if I'm in the thread about the Used, but if I am, I gotta say that I'm a fan of them too. Just getting into them, but I like most of what I've heard.

Whoops, wrong thread for The Used. Well, the first part applies to this thread at least.

If you can find his CD "Float" on MUSH Records. Get it. It's definitely worth it.
