Do you mean "Better Days" by Citizen King? That was a pretty kick ass song :)

a) I agree with you about his new album, it was really wierd and hard to come to grips with the fact it was Beck. But I can seeing it growing on more than the others.

b) Natalie recently got engaged with Daniel Johns (the lead singer in Silverchair). I don't much about her musicwise though.

I speak of Beck as a collective group. Beck may be one person, but it's the name of the band. Sorry, but I don't go flinging shit at everyone, like you, when they insult a group I like. Grow up. I still think THEY (as a group) suck. People say "Oh yeah, Aphex Twin, I love them." all the time, just ignore it. Your attempt at pointing that small little thing out only proves that you have nothing to back up your arguement with, you so you have to throw out a little detail that doesn't really help you much *claps* good job.

I'm still amazed that groups like this even existed (may I add in The Strokes, talking about talentless garbage made merely for the fact of selling an album. I feel sorry for anyone who thinks a band that comprises a song completely with ONE NOTE is good.) nevertheless, that's something else.

To say it simply, I just never liked Beck. One song was good, the rest made my ears bleed. The talent was lacking, so were the vocal skills, and all the songs sounded, amazingly enough, the same (of course, BPM, timbre (maybe not even that), and rhythm were different...a little).

One song doesn't make up for a cerear of bad music.

Of course, this IS subjective. But on an objective talent scale, Beck wasn't the largest pettle on the rose...probably a thorn...

So I take it you don't like Beck then.

You don't get it. Beck isn't the name of a band. Beck is one guy, like Briteny Spears. He hires different bands for live shows. One guy. I wasn't flaming, I was just wondering if you knew who the heck we were talking about.

I don't think it really matters, everyone knows who Beck is and what this topic is about. Nitpicking like this is just going to get you flamed.
Cmon there are always going to be cases where the band name and musicians name are confused.
Eg.
Like said before Aphex Twin
Marylin Manson, it is a group and a person.
Rob Zombie, same as above.
I'm not sure but I'm led to believe that NIN is just Trent Reznor and whoever he brings with him to the studio/ gig.
I'm getting even hazier into my knowledge by suggesting Meat Beat Manifesto.

Maybe you should just accept how Zero says it instead of being so pedantic about such insignificancies. These corrections aren't going to make him suddenly like Beck and I can hardly see how they would make you feel better. They are just plain annoying.

Grrr. I was pointing out, that I was thinking that he was thinking of someone else.

Meaning, I thought he had beck confused with Blink 182 or something.

Yeah because when he said he liked Loser and that was about it, he may have thought Loser was a Blink song. Also who doesn't know who Beck is. I'm sure Zero has a fairly decent music knowledge which encompasses artists such as Beck and Blink 182 and hat their differences are.

Well, I couldn't think of any other band to use, and Blink started with a 'B,' too. I was just trying to make a point! Rawr, leave me alone! Anyway, you are all wrong, because Beck has never been uncool.

Actually I think thats his point he is uncool and proud of it, hence Loser. He likes to think he is the anti-cool.

Sorry guys, didn't mean to cause the argument ^^;; Lets all just listen to some of our favorite music and talk about something else. *listens to Sigur Ros*
