If I can put my usual .02$ in I believe that people is already abusing with gigantic banners in their sigs. I've seen more than one post where the banner is larger than the post itself...

Phade, what about turning this annoying banners off? I hate being rude, but they:
a) distract the attention from the topic
b) confuse the page (that is already confused by itself).
I believe that the avatar is already enough to express all our hidden creativity... anyone of the same idea? :p
