I honestly don't care how long it takes to announce finalists...as long you announce the winners after the con. Still don't know how half the cons I enter turned out.

I've got the list of finalists for the main categories, but we're still going over the bonus category stuff. I need to finalize that first because I need to know how long it will run, the outcome of which will determine if there's enough leftover time to squeeze in another main category vid.

So yeah, another week.

I for one don't mind the wait, as long as the finalists are announced before the con

I think the finalists were announced like 2-3 days before AX2002.
I remember how grueling of a wait that was....

I think AX2000 had the judging, finalist announcement, and contest all at con over the course of 2 days. I went to that con, but missed the amv contest because of work. I wonder if Nic, Brad DeMoss, or Troy can clarify all this.

After 2002, we've always gotten the results weeks before the con in due time. The earliest we got the results was Memorial Day weekend in 2008.

We'll definitely get them in the next week or so.
