Apocalyptica is some pretty damn good shit.

Other worthy bands:

Theatre of Tragedy
Zao
Mr. Bungle

There are others that are praiseworthy, but it's five in the morning here, and that's about all my brain can come up with right now.

Slayer underrated? Try again. Everyone who listens to metal is always all "Slayer rules!" The only metal band I can think of that I hear more people ranting about is maybe Pantera, and I think both bands are way OVER rated.

That because you are a fool. Listen to Slayers 80's stuff, they music sounds amazing clear, crisp for the time. They are talented, far more then probably any band listed, also Pantera. Dimebag Darrel is probably the highest rated heavy metal guitarist, their drummer vinnie paul is the best Trash metal drummer EVER! Maybe not ever, Or Maybe so! Kerry King in Slayer, let alone then other band members are great inspirations to people who play now.

Eh, he's the same n00b who gave me crap because I didn't get the genre of a band right in his mind or something.

Everyone has their own opinions and is free to wear sunscreen...or some shit like that.

Did you even read my post? No...

And Bodom isnt Black metal, its Melodic Death, go get Emperor, Mayhem, Dark Throne, Dark Funeral, Early Dimmu Borgir, Voivod, Celtic Frost. And tell me it they sound like Bodom, Childern of Bodom are wicked yes, but they arent black Speed, or gothic.

Oh, great, he's a metal nazi. MYou can tell a metal nazi on sight because they get after you if you get something wrong about metal. "It's not gothic-death-black metal, it's death-gothic-black metal!" These people are usually super gothic in real life, so it's easy to tell them apart from the metal fans who don't give a crap what genre a certain band is in.

Where I come from, the super gothic people are the ones who WON'T get psycopathic about what genre a band belongs to. And yes, I am goth, but I could care less about where each band belongs, just as kthulhu said, everyone has their own damn opinions, so let's not try and get anal about what people think. Also, let's not try to stereotype people, it might offend somebody.

Okay, so I'm wrong about the gothic thing. Instead he's a Gap-shopping, I-wear-cool-clothes-cause-that-makes-me-cool poser. Backwards hat? Wow. How incredibly original. Pantera shirt? See above. Everything he has said reeks of being one of those people who try to be "anti-conformity" but just end up conforming to a different group.

And he's still a metal nazi. Nobody gives a crap if a band is death or black metal except the metal nazi's.
