Re: Little Things You Hate
My case came with standoffs that are too short. I can mount the motherboard just fine, but because it sits so low, the GPU won't seat properly in the PCI-E slot. Still no response from Fractal...

the seriousness that some editors in the amv community take contests. to the point of complaining about rankings/placements; "___ shouldn't have been placed that high".., "___ was 'robbed' a win".., "___ is pandering to judges".., "___ doesn't fit in that category!!".., who cares? everyone has different taste and your taste isn't any more valid than anyone elses. i feel like there's a lot of editors lately (or always, i guess) that edit for the sole purpose of attention and winning, and i don't get how you can have fun that way. amvs are products of a hobby. and this doesn't pertain to personal experience as i'm not so interested in cons and i rarely enter competitions, but it's still petty and annoying enough to observe to make a post about it

There's always been those people who just edit to win stuff, so it's not really a new thing. Personally, I can understand their point of view... they just get more fulfillment by winning something tangible rather than just producing content. However, you can either be a good sport about losing or be a dick about it. More often than not, it's the later.

ya ya i should have added that. i mean i'm competitive and i think being serious and competitive is ok, every hobby has that. but it's a problem when you're whining over results and being a sore loser or taking the fun out of it for others.

Falling wrong at your play rehearsal and hurting you wrist in the process... on a fall you've done safely a bunch of times before... guess it's a good thing I'm ambidextrous and can use my other hand until my left one starts feeling a bit better.
