It's become less fun since I switched over to Premiere from Ulead. But still, nothing quite beats the exhilirating pounding and throbbing in my head after a productive night of editing. To me, it's really all about the finished product.

I have to say that Iron Chef at AWA this past year was the most fun I've had editing in my entire life. Everything just worked, and I knew I was putting together something I could be proud of.
I have no idea how to use this new forum.

I have a lot of fun making AMV's.

I always feel a little thrill and good amount of satisfaction when a section I am working out turns out just right. And it's also great when I drop in a clip and it fits perfectly without having to mess with it.

Cheers.

Actually, what makes AMVs fun for me is that they synch well and has some meaning to it when you've finished watching it....

AH YES... The finished product, THAT IS WHY I EDIT...

Fun, fun, fun...

It's fun at times, it's a pain at times. Overall, I think it's when something fits just right that makes it just awesome, and watching it over and over and over and over and over... but that may just be your biased opinion talking.

Yeah, I like it all. Well, except when the program crashes because your sources are too big for it to handle. That's when it stops being fun. When the program crashes multiple times, over and over and over and over... well...

I think everybody has different standards of fun - there is simple gratification, which involves slapping together a series of clips and a song in half an hour to see how it looks. And then there is the chest-bursting sense of accomplishment that comes from sticking with a project and making it good even though you wanted to give up on it countless times. Both are fun. One is just a lot more painful than the other.

You done an AMV, you get the pleasure of watching your own work.

Your AMV is a drug for your mind disease.

i do.

I have fun coming up with the ideas/themes for my amv's.
I enjoy trying out different effects...but the most fun for me is when i let other people watch the vid while its still in progress and get their input and then i show them the finished version of the vid and they go "hey that was my idea!" and they just love the vid. So, mainly i love the pre-production and post-production.

I have fun making AMVs, but after Premiere up and crashes six times in a row, I give up for a few days and then go back to it. There are so many ideas swarming around in my head, and I know that eventually, they will all be complete projects. When I first learned how to use Premiere, it was fun to make little AMVs just to test out te different effects. Now that I know how to use them, they aren't as fun. The best part of the experience for me is when a friend sees my video and gives good comments.
