Tear Drop AMV

Postby YK! » Mon Dec 02, 2013 10:04 am

ok finally after some time i'm finished with this project, although i wanted it to be much longer but due to exams and some other problems i could not allow it to carry on any longer so i decided to finish it. The story is quite simple but i decided to put on some few changes/ideas intro the clannad amv. So hope you guys like it and enjoy it!

Ill be looking forward for your opinions.

hmm I think its cool, but you overdid it with the effects if you ask me, the lights and shakes were way too strong it made me feel a bit dizzy to be honest.

yes i could agree that camera shake was a bit too strong, not sure about effects but maybe i'm not good at judging my own videos hehe. Really thanks for the Comment and ill take those points in mind.

I'd have to say at first when I saw it I thought that the camera was pretty interesting. Though in the video the story wasn't really that clear and it needs to have a fluid flow into it (Like water). When you did the flare and transitions it killed the mood each time it was put in and at 0:44 where you have that crack, snap (whatever you call it) effect I have to say it killed the mood and looked random. When you enter in an effect like that there needs to be a bigger plot so when you enter in those transitions and effects it will mean something.

I have to say that the masking was entered in at the wrong time (i feels like) and looked very random like you wanted to enter in a random mask just to change the scene. When using the mask to change the scene maybe adding camera movements to transition into the mask to keep the flow going and keep it more relaxing.

Lastly for the flow... The flow felt like it kept getting interrupted by effects and the transitions. What would have helped if you've payed more attention to that and not just the effects and transitions. Once that happens it would be an even greater quality.

Overall it was not my cup of tea... Should work more on the pacing and masking... Not too bad, keep it up! :sorcerer:

I like the effects you used and you synced up well. Please, if you see this, tell me how you did the key framing to make the clips pivot around like you made them(I'll message you this too).

I like the creativity and the story telling. I think this was well done :)

Don't know if this was the intention or not, but the camera shake gave it a kind of home video feel, which worked very well indeed.

Loved the atmosphere. Definitely appreciate all the work that went into forming it together. But alas, as some others have said the fx are just tooo harsh. It would be perfect if you turned down the shaking and didn't make each scene so bright/heavily contrasted. I liked the art direction you aimed for though! Definitely looking forward to more releases from you :)
