[Vivifx] Disconnect Destiny

This was my video for this fun BBT that is going on. We had to edit a video based around tarot cards. I immediately gravitated towards the wheel of fortune and Penguindrum -- which I had finished like a month or so ago. I edited this video quickly and really tried to focus on learning new things, like more artistic effects. This was my first time also using lossless footage and filtering my footage as well, so that was cool too. I had a lot of fun making this video and I hope you enjoy it!

This is really nice. I especially loved the mood in the intro, that was just fabulous.

I did feel some of the flashes/fades felt a bit abrupt. While the song is pretty beat-heavy the nature of it feels more abstract so smoother transitions would have fit a bit better. There's also quite a lot going on in terms of scenary and overlays and at times, it gets a little messy and a tad confusing. Though on a whole, I sorta get what you were trying to show with this video so it's not that big an issue. I particularly liked the overlays at 1:52-2:05 because I felt like they blended together best even though you had others that FIT better elsewhere so in terms of visual aesthetics that section looked most pleasing to the eye. Your chromas were also quite untidy, especially in the area where they exchange the apples at 1:06-1:16 though the atmosphere of the scenes you had there was most excellent, I really liked this part too. My last issue is the way you ended the AMV, the song has an incredibly long fade out and well, fading out one scene is usually quite boring so I appreciate that you took this into consideration and added some more scenes but they are too quick paced for the fade out. To sum it up: there's too much going on for such a slow section. I personally would have preferred lengthening the white scene with Himari on the bed and her brothers to the side and then overlay the rest over that before crossfading into Momoka and the red ring as the final scene fading out.

Though well it was a beta battle under time constrictions so factoring in that, you did a really awesome job! It has it's flaws but it definitely was an enjoyable video to watch. Plus I love this song. Also being a huge fan of Penguindrum, I'm SOOOO happy more people are editing with it. SPREAD THE PENGUINDRUM LOVEEEEEEEEE. <3

I agree with all of this XD Mainly time factor on a lot of it and I didn't really feel like cleaning up some stuff. Thanks for the awesome feedback Mae!

What the heck VincentAMV. This isn't ponies or haruhi....

Different style from you and it was nice to see creative experimentation. The visual aesthetics were pleasing in a lot of it, but there were a few that felt a little unfocused and I didn't know what I should be focusing on or what I was supposed to be getting from some of the overlays and composites but it came out pretty nice overall. The song is also pretty epictastic.

I loved it. Especially some of the overlay sequences near the end, with Himari being overlaid multiple times on the screen. Glitchy parts were epic. I didn't like the slowed down scenes, but they were not very prevalent.
