Opening Credit Screen problems

Post by RyanGlazner » Mon Jul 22, 2002 1:46 am

I've got the Kenshin OVAs in mpeg form on my 'puter, and Premiere seems to like them, but I have one problem (or, at least I think I only have one problem...). The clips I'd like to use (cos I've got this great idea for that exact part) are in the intro credits, with the Japanese and English pasted all over the image. I've looked through the subtitle removal guide, but none of those methods are viable for getting rid of the text. Is there a way to get the clips without the huge amounts of credits, or am I just going to have to find other clips for my video?

Specifically, i'd like to work with the intro for Kenshin OVA 3: "Early Evening in a Mountain Village".

If nothing in the guide works for you, you're pretty much stuck. I'd suggest just buying the DVDs so you can get the opening without the credits. Most DVDs have that option in the Extras.

Is it the credits that are in the way, or in just subtitles? If it's just subs, all you have to do is crop them off and it's really easy, but if it's credits, there's not much you can do because they take up practically the entire screen. Annoying, isn't it? I've had the same problem...

Eh. Bah. It is the credits that are in the way. There are also subtitles, but I can get rid of those fairly easily. Ah well. Thanks for your time.

If none of the events listed work and you aren't willing to edit the credits out frame by frame, you are stuck and will either have to deal with them or just find a new scene.

There's just too darn MANY frames to edit. I'd be 80 by the time I got 'em all out. *has thought of a way to, instead, work the credits INTO the vid*

There should be never too many frames to edit. It your idea is good enough, then it should be worth it. ^_^

No, Tainted Donuts involved simple deletion, which is a lot easier than repainting.
