MangaUpdates wrote:The young boy named Hachiken Yuugo apparently aspires to live separated from his family. So he takes his chances by enrolling to an agriculture school, one which requires its students to live at a dormitory. He thinks, with his talent in studying, no problem will arise no matter what kind of school he goes to. But he is proven wrong. Grown up as all-easy-to-get city boy, he is forced to uncover not-too-convenient truths about agricultural life. Enjoy the story of Hachiken, as he is trying to keep up with his friends, farmers' heirs who are already accustomed to hardworking farm life.

So far so good. Probably the greatest line of all time:

Quite enjoyable so far! I didn't find it especially outstanding, but the way it draws attention to the reality and importance of farming is definitely appreciated. Lighthearted tone and occasionally over the top content (like that chicken-death scene in the first ep, I was like "ogodwat ") helps too.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

I love that Arakawa makes such diverse characters and even background characters, and thats in full force in this series. Interested to see where this ends up!

Really loving this show so far. When it's finished, I'll probably try reading the manga.

I have a feeling I'll be guilted into becoming a vegan by the end of this season.

Eggs and chicken wouldn't make you vegan.pacotacoshell wrote:I have a feeling I'll be guilted into becoming a vegan by the end of this season.

I actually had no idea there was a difference between vegan and vegetarian until I googled it today. >__> I just chose the former cause it sounded cooler, lolmirkosp wrote:Eggs and chicken wouldn't make you vegan.pacotacoshell wrote:I have a feeling I'll be guilted into becoming a vegan by the end of this season.
