Much appreciation to the judges. I know all too well that it's not an easy task and it's a big commitment to judge hundreds of videos in a short period of time for one event. We editors all work hard at what we do, but it's just the nature of the beast that not everyone will make it. Sometimes your video is perfectly fine and you may simply miss it by the smallest of margins. I still don't make the finals for everything, but that's why there are contests year after year and there are tons of contests throughout the year (large, medium and small) so that you can still get your stuff out there. I hope people aren't too discouraged.

Not sure if everyone's still guessing but I'm guessing it was over 250. It's very difficult to remember that many and provide constructive feedback later on.

Remember you can always have your videos played at the Creator Spotlights.

You just have to..... talk on a microphone in front of people.

I should also stress that this was a LOT of work for the judges as they had to spend a lot of time watching videos. We tried to get a larger number of judges and a good spread to make the contest even better.

The results are the combination of all the judges hard work and as such I would please ask that even if you know who a judge was, don't bug them to provide reviews of your video or holding them accountable of not making it in.

Believe me, MANY videos missed the cut because of the smallest margin.

250's way over. It's under 200 and more than 150.

Okay. I think I was going off of Troy saying it was 2nd to a record year which I think was 300. Either way that number simply made me wince for you guys.

This.

You really don't want to end up being the creator of a video they hated. :uhoh:

Speaking as only an entrant (but also someone who ran a contest for 8 years) I cannot agree enough with what Vlad, Rider, and Castor said.

Still pretty light compared to previous years...

... but we still have the contest results... that's where the REAL drama is! |:>

Oh make no mistake, there's plenty of drama, it's just all behind the scenes and out of view, where it should be. :P

In quite honesty, I got involved to help improve the contest and AMV presence and help Troy Out who has done a great job.. It really does take more then one person to do all this...

Intresting how there just is no stop to the Drama :P But then isn't LA the King of Drama :awesome:
