Don't know what happened to that last line, but it is supposed to read "Let me know what's up before I time whatever the heck I'm using to this thing ^_^"

That mess up is "to this".

Now should I just go ahead and acquire the DVD source and use that or what? What's going on with that specifically? Is the DVD source and the CD source that much different?

Yeah, run your source through RadicalEds program and then use that, were gonna go ahead with the CD audio.

Ill leave this to Ed to answer.

I also want to let you all know that we still need more people, not that the project wont float without you, I just want to let you know we have plenty of spots for all of you!

Umm. I can edit the video in Premiere without converting it to a wav format. But I will do as asked, mp3's seem to have a skipping problem sometimes in Premiere I have noticed...

...hmmm... maybe that is why my track 05 won't encode correctly... lemme try this...

Oh! It's pretty easy! Check this out...

Upper right box with the "..." in it, click on that. Locate your .mp3 file and select "Open".

Lower right box with the "..." in it, click on that. Find a spot that you want to save your new "wav" file into and name it, then click on "Save".

When both of the long boxes have filepaths in them, click on Convert.
A DOS box will pop up and it will start spitting out numbers and stuff, when it is done, it will pop up a little dialog box in the middle of the screen, just click on "Finished" or whatever it says in the button. You're done. It's that easy.

it dosent MATTER how it works, it just does. Its magic

guys, if you read the guide then this will look familiar. Since we're doing the project in 24fps and ashton didnt want it to be soo complicated that people had to do the above I just wrote a simple GUI for besweet's 23.976 -> 24fps conversion and mp3 -> wav conversion. All the thing does is take the mp3 convert it from 23.976 to 24 and convert it to wav. The reason you have to use it is because the audio has to be sped up 23.976 - 24. Its just a quick and easy besweet gui replacement intended for use in this project only. Dont tell dspguru I packaged besweet with it or he'll yell at me >.>

All right, it's the only idea I can come up with. Pom Poko to Elbow Room. It'll be nice to revisit the Tanukis.

What's the projected deadline again?

Thanks,
Tom

I can't really promise a delivery date: schoolwork comes first. I guess it's a good thing you don't really have a specific date in mind ;)

What format do you want the final product in? I usually export in some YUV derivative in a QuickTime file for further processing. I'm assuming, however, that you guys (understandably) do not want to deal with multi-gigabyte non-AVI files.

Sorry if this seems like a dumb question, but I've never done a group project before, nor am I using the same editing platform as others in this project...

How do you plan to IVTC then? ;)

I'll also be working in Linux, if I can get good results with Cinelerra's IVTC filter, or if you can port Telecide before I start working on this video (Remember, my NES Project video comes first...I may work on this and that video simultaniously, since I'm using the same exact sources)

I'll use "Unpack your Adjectives".

I like that song, plus I can use it with my source ;)
