This is an uh, thing I sortof invented.
The main course is turmeric salmon. It's made from salmon, turmeric (yeah), chopped garlic, mushrooms, and onion, one egg, basil, oregano, paprika.
To the side is greek cucumber yogurt topped with walnuts & tomatoes, and a half cup of wild rice x quinoa.
And in the back is a glass of the old trusty Pilsner Urquell.

This is the thing I usually eat on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

My parents got me a bento box for my birthday, I had kinda been wanting one for awhile just because it's good for portion control, but man I have been having so much fun cooking stuff for it. Generally it's pretty easy too! Most of the things are raw or pickled things (which are very easy to make), and the cooking only takes about 15 minutes for stuff like soba or rice or tamagoyaki.

Below is my lunch for tomorrow, lower left is tamagoyaki with seaweed inside, top left is soba, with lots of negi and some cabbage and almonds on top, right is salad things, with 24 hour Japanese pickles (cucumber, ginger, garlic, and cabbage). The pickles are so easy to make and really tasty. If anyone wants recipes justbento.com is a good place to start.

I made a cold cucumber soup and a chilled cantaloupe soup for ACen this year. It wasn't eaten much, but the consensus was that they were both tasty. I, myself, was not a fan of the cucumber variety (which was weird, because I expected to love it), but I did enjoy the cantaloupe.

I had actually asked my mother to prepare them for me (as I was otherwise occupied), but as time has proven again and again, never let someone else do your job. I bought enough ingredients to quadruple each recipe, but she only actually multiplied some parts of it - namely, the latter soup had one cantaloupe to twice the yogurt, twice the lemon, and four times the ginger. :| So I had to get her to fix that shit, and it was still heavy on ginger after I blended up another fruit. We strained that one, because the pulpy consistency was just not working. (I'm wondering if straining the cucumber concoction would have improved it for me.) Also, it needed a pinch of sugar, because the cantaloupes weren't very ripe or sweet.

In any case, both are very healthy, minus the little added sugar, and I would recommend these recipes, personal tastes aside. Sorry, no pretty pictures of my own to offer, but the website's are much nicer anyway.
