I think I'm the 1% who really likes the rotoscoped style. Lovin' the show so far; just the right amount of creepy.

During ep02 I started wondering if this is meant to be a deconstruction of the typical high school anime ero-comedy. Usually the consequences for a male protagonist getting caught stealing a girl's gym clothes, or (unintentionally) face-planting into a girl's boobs, is a brief outburst of angry retaliation from the victim, and amusement from everyone else. Watching these familiar scenes played out in AnH is like watching a man slip on a banana peel and break his spine, or take a pie in the face and lose an eye.

Kasuga's crushing sense of guilt is conveyed beautifully. It manages to be completely over the top, but at the same time nauseatingly realistic.

What the hell is up with this anime... just a bunch of misfortune all from 1 thing. His classmates are also all cunts.

I'm one of the people who can't stand how they killed the character design due to me picking the manga up when the series first started and falling in love with every aspect of it. The anime seems to be sticking true to the manga though (as far as I know). Just know that the plot gets even more dark and the anime gets better as you go on (Y). I love stories like this, I wish there were more of them.

I am absolutely loving this show. The rotoscope goes wonderfully with the subject matter, and I particularly like the attention they paid to the eyes. Lots of emotion there despite the rotoscope. And just damn what a terrible situation to be in... all around... this is definitely dealing with all the darker things one goes through when growing up. I'm feeling things I've not felt in 20 years. :uhoh:

I got used to the rotoscope now. (I even thought sometimes "oh it looks nice on this scene")
And this is awesome.
The rotoscope makes it different from the manga, and i don't enjoy the both of the same way. (i don't know if "enjoy" is the right word to use here though xD)
Still a lot of dark emotions, and characters are quite well portrayed.
(and the ending  )
