Masking with Vegas 10

Postby empartridge » Fri Apr 19, 2013 3:11 pm

Is anybody familiar with Sony Vegas 10?

I would like custom mask: cutting out a person of one video and pase it on another. Can I do this with Vegas Movie Sudio HD Platnium 10 or do I have to upgrade to Pro?

Yes masking is fairly basic, You have to manually cut out the character using the Pen tool frame by frame to do this though. Some people prefer working in Photoshop,AE, or Nuke when doing roto but Vegas is more then capable.

Alas as far as I know the only version capable of masking is Pro, yep...
