AICon AMV Competition 2013

Post by blah13 » Mon Jan 07, 2013 5:11 am

AICon is in it's 8th year and we're hoping to keep up the tradition of great quality entries. This years theme category is Time travel. It will include anything with time travel or from the 19th century including steampunk. Please note you don't have to enter the theme category, it just means you're eligible for more categories.

Looking forward to entering again this year :D

I noticed last year the standard of AMVs entered had gone up! Is there a time limit on AMVs? Also how many AMVs can you enter?

Maximum of 3 entries and max of 5 minutes per AMV, although if one goes slightly over and you haven't entered 3 AMV's I may allow it.

Looking forward to the entries this year! I always get slack about uploading mine after comps though - burn out trying to get them ready in time

The competition is wide open at this point. Keep in mind you don't have to use theme, it just gives you another category you can win. You also don't have to make a brand new AMV, as long as it hasn't been entered at AICon before, I'll accept it.

Just under 2 weeks to go, hope you're all hard at work on your videos because at the moment you could nearly win with a DBZ linkin park vid (this is a joke, please don't >.>).

1 week left to get your entries in. Got a lot of series entries going for the action and drama categories, but comedy, theme and technical don't have much competition. (hint hint)

Announcing the winners:
Winner of Action: L33tmeatwad with Blackout
Winner of Drama: Rideback Girl by Advent87
Winner of Comedy: BFB by Advent87 tied with Tough Love by L33tmeatwad
winner of technical and theme(by virtue of being the only one in theme :P) Life in a beautiful world by Renato

Thanks to all that entered, the quality was great as most categories were separated by only half points. If anyone would like feedback on their AMV's please contact me.
