I filled out the submission form, but there wasn't a place for me to paste a download link or upload a file. Am I supposed to wait for a e-mail?

When can we expect confirmation E-mails? I'm just wondering if I broke any rules by accident or anything. xD No rush.

Kireblue: I think during the submission, something will come up at the bottom that says "Drag file here" and you just upload it there. That's what I did.

Sorry for the absence. I believe we are up to date on receiving submissions and sending confirmation.
If you haven't received a confirmation for something submitted before today please email animeslcamv@midnytethunder.com.

We have some good entries this year, but only about half the number I had expected.
Keep them coming, at current count most entries have a good chance of showing in the event.

pinkhearter13 is correct about the the Upload box being at the bottom, sorry it blends in too much.

Just today and tomorrow left to submit. We have a good number of videos, but are lacking in the Comedy and our challenge: Creative Commons.
Now is the time to get those last minute entries in! Good Luck!

I think on the submission page, the rules are on the left sidebar in a PDF file. That is where I found them. :)

Ah, I see them now. On a phone they're not present. They also weren't showing up behind the corporate firewall I was on.

Good luck with that - those rules DQ everyone at step 3.

Sorry I'm not the webmaster, I wasn't aware that they had a mobile version. They worked behind the corporate firewall here, but it doesn't do strict mime-type blocking, it actually scans content.

Editor's can and some actually do get permission for the source they use, without rule 3 your contest would be legally liable if rights to sources were ever questioned. It is possible that the rule could be worded more clearly, but when has legalese ever been 100% clear?

Your con is required to obtain ASCAP licences to play any sort of musical content. That covers everything in your AMV contest, your dances, people playing music in panels, etc. That's your con's liability. Editors do not obtain permission to use the music or anime they are using. Assuming they do is wilful ignorance and would not stand up under legal challenge, despite what you have in your entry form. You can't simply shunt legal responsibility to the entrants for what the convention must do. If you do want to shirk responsibility off to the creators, you have no reasonable expectation to assume any permission was given - it doesn't happen regularly if at all. Hell, the one high profile time it did happen resulted in this site nearly being shut down.

Congrats to the finalists.
Out of curiosity, what are the possible things to win (i.e. best action, etc.)?
