The contest will take place on Friday at 7:30 pm
The Non-Finalists will be played on Sunday at 10:30 am - 1:30 pm in the AMV Room.
The Winners will be announced and played on Sunday at 4:30 - 5:30 pm in the AMV Room

Hi Everyone.

This year I will be running the Otafest AMV Contest. If your all wondering what happened to Jenny, she's still around and has more responsibilities for Programming and is sort of my Boss now

I've been involved in Otafest's AMV Contest for the past 6 years, taking care of all the technical requirements, encoding and playing the day of previously.

I have updated the rules and made some changes, but essentially most of the way the contest is run is much the same. The biggest change now is that instead of just the audience picking their favorite, we will have Audience's Favorite 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place just like the judges' top 3 awards.

Rules can be found HERE. Deadline for submissions is April 19, 2013 so there is plenty of time.

This year as well, Otafest will have a dedicated AMV room (There actually was one last year too) and we will look at the possibility depending on contest scheduling in playing all non-finalists who are accepted into the contest as well.

1 i finished middle of last year and the other i'm still working on... well assuming you may be excepting MLP videos again this year!

Awesome! Ok people, we need a LOT more videos here... The AMV Contest is a Favorite at Otafest and this year we WILL be also playing all the non-finalists on Sunday.

Also, remember that there are no categories and all videos will have the judges and audiences top three choices as winners and many honorable mentions!
