Wikipedia wrote:The story is set in a world embroiled by war between Humans and Demons. The Humans' greatest hero invades the Demon Queen's castle determined to vanquish her. However, instead of fighting back, the Queen proposes an alliance with the Hero. She explains how a sudden end to the war can bring further chaos to the world as the Humans once united to stand against their common enemies would eventually begin fighting among themselves, with similar issues already occurring at the Demon Realm. Convinced by her words, the Hero joins forces with the Queen and together they execute a plan to bring prosperity and a lasting peace to both Humans and Demons alike.

So a completely dere dere demon king (with cosplay horns no less lol). This series looks like it could be ok, fortunately it does seem like there will actually be some semblance of a story and not just random fanservice. Hopefully it will turn out well

I thought the animation and setting seemed really familiar. The director of this also did the spice and wolf series. And yes, we get to learn more about economics lol

by the way, best convo ever:
Spoiler :
Head maid: "I would like to hire these two as maids."
Hero: "I thought you hated them."
Head maid: "I said I hate insects. No one in this world dislikes maids."
true dat

Hero: "Demon Lord! I have come to slay you and end the war!"
Demon Lord: *Intuitive logical discussion on the philosophical dependencies of warfare and its effects on society and economics*
Hero: "Demon Lord! I have come to marry you!"

Enjoyed this, quite deep and interesting, even if a bit short when compared to manga.

But I think most people will watch this for economics and plot...

Who knew potatoes were THAT valuable? I'm serious, I'm learning a hell of a lot of stuff from this show. I'm starting to form this strange attachment to this show.

Potatoes were a staple food in Europe (kind of like how rice was a staple in asia). In fact, in the late 1980's when there was a potato famine in Ireland it led to something like 1 million people starving to death and a similar number emigrating to other countries like the USA. Shows how important it was as a resource.

We finally see a better use for teleportation magic. LOL. They are so cute when they argue.

One thing that bothers me is how much time passes every episode. Jeez.
