Multiple styles and colors...
I have a credit card sized style, hanging and horizontal
I also have a business card size, 2 styles again
Also, C5 size badge such as Otakon, AWA, etc...
A4 badges such as NDK, AnimeExpo, the NY con.
Mine comes with Application Notes and Replication Specs...
--- my idea of a good imaging system ---
Get a good color print somewhere, if possible. IF you can get it polyresin/teslin with thermal laminate, that's cool. Or, you can use a glossy business card with space for typing, etc. Blank cardstock can be thermalam or polychem synthetic dyesub glossing.
Cheapo people can use mailing tape to attach 2 business cards. But if you really want this to last: Get the Teslin, get the PolyChem, get the resin laminate (NO EDGES, teslin will bond). It looks very sharp and it uses the same method people use for Fake Ids... use the thermal convection rollers at Kinkos. If you cannot get teslin, then use cam plotter paper.

i cant post a picture of course but the name premier is not in it
hopefully adobe wont sue me like dmitri or something! theyre always so intellectual-property-lawsuit happy of course but ill make sure its not so obvious this time

Dude, these are being made for peole to print on there home PC. Your not making ID tags for the FBI. Perspective my frind, perspective.danielwang wrote:What the hell are the app specs? Do we have to leave space for the horizontal slot punch, is there a polychem, dye sub or thermal laminate? Do we draft this on a cam plotter or normal printer?
Last time I designed a badge, I had angry attendees yelling at me over the phone and of course dozens of broken printers and inked up keynotes...
Which would work better:
--------------------------------------------
....................punch........................
.....................................................
/\/\/\/\/\
or a vertical card?
-----------------------------
.............punch.............
...................................
...................................
To made this badge look cool, can we allow for opalescent paint, holofoil or uv/glow imprint? I have it....
Do we each make our own or buy them?
Are thee/should there be
specifications to make sure they all look the same?
I really don't want thousands of different loking badges at the next con I go to... inkjet, color laser, copied, etc...
