You might want to mention if people need to letterbox widescreen videos or not. Other than that it seems legit.Deuce Loosely wrote:Is there anything else that needs fixing before sending more corrections..?

Hate to say this, but most contests are moving on to MP4 submissions, especially with HD video becoming a lot more readily available to editors.Deuce Loosely wrote:Thank you for your expert advice or whatever.l33tmeatwad wrote:etc etc etc
It would have been nice if a bit of civility were exercised here.
Also...you couldn't have PM'd this to me?
I appreciate the input but really...
I'm pretty sure l33tm33twad meant it in fun, but contests will need to evolve with the changing technology.
p.s. I do intend to hand you a block of time in Video 1 for the AMV contest winner showings and the NSFW contest. I expect you to be on time for it this year. I do not want 15 minutes of dead time from the beginning of your timeslot.

I have a question about the NSFW contest. One of the rules is "Dubbed sound from licensed commercial translation is NOT allowed." does this mean dubbed anime dialogue etc are not allowed or are things like a sound bite from something like "King of the Hill" not allowed?

We can allow a snippet or two of dialogue or sound but no more than, say 15 seconds total in terms of the anime itself.competitionbros wrote:I have a question about the NSFW contest. As far as KotH or whatever you're using, used with the anime, it sounds like a parody...something we typically do for our clip-oriented projects.
I'm curious to see what you have in mind and I know my lieutenant / NSFW coordinator is in need of entries.

So uh... Will I need to letterbox or not?

Letterbox is fine as long as the resolution is no larger than 720x480.Iron Solari wrote:So uh... Will I need to letterbox or not?
