My sister has a Cintiq as well, and I've been meaning to try it for masking. She's used it to trace things and it's definitely easier. Don't know how it'd do with editing though, probably an even more tedious process.

Really depends on what's more comfortable, imo. I've noticed those who draw normally take up the tablet/stylus pretty easy. For me I find it cumbersome honestly. I don't draw so it's an unnatural feeling. During my 3D work I always stick with the mouse cause it's just more comfortable. I don't really see how it would be beneficial or worse using a stylus though. It's just a matter of comfort using a tool.

I know a lot of people in the motion design industry that use a tablet/stylus exclusively. It's supposed to help out a lot with wrist pain and eventually just feel far more natural. Thing is, for the first couple weeks, it'll feel way UNnatural, because you've used a mouse your whole life. But if you fight through those instincts, eventually it'll become 2nd nature. At least that's what I've been told. I'm still a mouse guy myself.
