P.S. Thank god this didn't come with a film strip like the first two movie LEs. Countless otaku have been spared several thousand yen which can be spent on something more worthy.

The new movie left me pretty much speechless. In a good way. Totally confused with the beginning of it (just like Shinji), but after I accepted the new plot, everything went better than expected. The tension, the suspence, the (kickass, for the first time) soundtrack, everything made it totally better. I... don't know if I'm bummed that they totally changed the original script, I think that I like this one... As usual, I didn't get some things (such as why Gendo didn't want the reversal thing with the spears), but in the end, I totally give this movie two thumbs up.

Also, that final song, had me staring motionless at the credits while listening to it. Excellent.
