Beta Wars(What is it?)
Beta Wars is a grand series of organized and controlled Beta Battle Tournaments hosted by the many factions (Amv,Gmv ect…) of the AMV Alliance! This Beta Battle Contest is unlike most Beta Tournaments online. The simplest way to explain is, two editors create Music videos and whoever create the better video edit wins.
Beta GMV (What is it?)
Basically, it's a music video that someone has started on, but not finished to see what people's reactions are before they continue it, if they decide to at all. The general use of the term Beta means something that is in a development stage or it is unfinished. So Beta Music Videos (GMV,AMV ect...) are just unfinished Music videos, most likely to get people's early opinions on it like a normal Beta (a good example would be a video game or Website Beta). Many Editors seem to create Beta music videos mostly because they don't want or feel the need to create a full Music Video (a full music video is a Music video including the entire length of the music)
Character Representatives
We have all the editors Choose their favorite Video Game Characters to represent in Beta Wars. We ask all the editors to give us a list of their favorite Characters (and the Game the characters from)we choose one of these characters to represent you in this GMV Tournament, Their character can be from ANY Anime they want!
Beta Wars Music
For this concept to work, we provide the music clips.We have given the editors several Music choices to use in our SignUp Video there's a list of Musical Artist you MUST choose Three!

We do not include over 15 choices of Musical Artist,We will try our Best to match everyone up. Music will be 30 seconds or more! No Music Editing allowed, editors MUST use our MP3 that we send them.
Game Music Video Content
All Anime and or Manga will be allowed for Every Round but the Finals Any Program allowed, If you think you can win more power to you Blood and gore allowed to a reasonable point, Nothing to Adult !
All Video Entries MUST Begin with the editors Beta Edit ! All intros/Outros/Logos Everything MUST come after the Main Edit! The Video MUST start with the MP3 you are given.Watermarks are wanted and allowed on your Betas please keep them small & Transparent! "Please try not to block your video to much"! Editors MUST Send us your Beta on Time! You are also not allowed to Upload your Beta until We Upload the editors Main Beta Battle VS Video! All Counted Votes will count at our Videos ONLY! No PM Votes will be allowed! To be fair we ask the editors to include Links to our Main Beta Battle Video and to the editors opponents Beta and information in each editors video descriptions tab!
Why "and how" are these AMV Alliance Beta Battle Tournaments different?
1st We create a artistic and slightly overelaborate visual Battle Video with exclusive art and effects!
2nd Both videos in the Battle use the same clip of music “that we provide”, Both editors choose a mutual Musical Artist, this way there can be no difference in the music beats, style and lyrics as well as lengths.
3rd The Battle is held on neutral ground “one of our BetaWar Battlegrounds” unlike other contest that just have the editors post video responses. The Editors are allowed to post their Betas after the Alliance Beta Battle has been uploaded “This way neither editor gets a head start”. We also ask for the editors to post a link to the battles “As well as a link to their opponents” in their video’s descriptions.
4th Both created Betas are both included in the same video, the editors are aligned in alphabetical order under their titles (Names). Each Beta is displayed twice in the video, once as a stand alone Beta and again in a Head to Head “side by side” display. This way the Betas can be seen at the same time, showing their differences and similarities simultaneously! “To understand the Head to Head Battle, just look at one of our Uploaded Battles”
5th These Battles are decided not by a few judges but by the public “YouTube Comments” we encourage all the editors to participate in the Battle voting (at the most we have over 120 editors participating). We also ask all the editors to try spread the word of their Battle “And all of the particular rounds Battles” to as many their contacts as they can. We also allow the editors to vote for themselves, mainly because we feel that most editors have access to more then just one channel “so we can’t really control that in the end” But the voting doesn’t end there we send out MANY Messages from our various channels (over 300 more potential votes) we also ask our Alliance staff members “More then 20 Video Editors” to also post their own votes form their main channels and alternate channels. Also to keep the battle results a mystery and an overall surprise to the competing editors as well as everyone-else, we hide many of the votes “They must be approved”. As the rounds progress, we hide the voting earlier and earlier. In the Final Battles we hide all the votes as soon as the Battles are uploaded!We also create special voting videos for the Battles that are not allowed in some countries, this way everyone can have the chance to vote.
This way of determining the Battle Winners we feel works pretty well. Most of the judgments and opinions seem to be the results of equal and fair comparisons of the Beta’ s. For the most need to trust the public to vote honestly “you would be surprised to see how much it works”. The voting can also include the voter’s views and personal opinions of each editor’s work. Of coarse were not naive, we do have ways that we notice and handle suspicious situations.
At this time we feel that this is the most enjoyable and productive way to decide the Battle results. As we continue these Beta Tournaments we might change some of these specifics, but for now this is the way we do it.

Please remember the editors who created the battles are allowed to vote for themselves.
The Round Two Battles are being released randomly "as we get them", but please keep in mind we will still keeping all the Names and Battles organized. We will include links and info for each Beta Battle.
