In a strange faraway land lies the mysterious labyrinth called The Dungeon. A young boy, Aladdin, and his companion Alibaba, attempt to penetrate the secrets of The Dungeon and obtain the treasures rumored to be hidden there. Within The Dungeon, Aladdin meets many different people, and eventually discovers his destiny.

I expected this to be good, and it hasn't let me down so far. Aladdin is probably the coolest character of all time.

I seriously wanted to beat Aladdin a couple times during the first ep. Naive characters ok but eating everything in sight (no concept of money) and his love of man boobs gave me many face-palm moments

And I thought alibaba was a girl. The series would probably have even turned out better if he WERE a girl. You know, the whole discrimination between women and men in ancient middle-eastern times makes the heroine more appealing.

Aside from that, i like the premise of the role of the "Magi". Kinda OBVIOUS who he chooses, but still good. I also like the one-handed style of fighting Alibaba has (you know, the whole "french style" with one hand behind his back). Good story, but lots of areas where it could be different.

You ain't kidding. While it was a fun ep, the ending left me with a big wtf face.

KAMAAAAN, girl needs to join party. Where the hell did Aladdin go? I guess Alibaba gets to spend his loot now, I hope he does something nice with it...as in nice to other people...then off for another adventure to get more loot. His knife has a genie in it now, that's cool.

Eh, things seem to be more complicated than it should be, or at least more than I was expecting. I mean,

Mahou Shounens (magis) who apparently have to decide who is king?
A (formerly known as) prince disguised as a pauper? (Though this is just speculation)
A fairly skinned girl who hails from a tribe of thunder thighs from the dark continent (whom I thought would also be a djinn or magi but I guess not)?

Will see how next few eps go. Will also be looking forward to Magi + Aladdin soundtrack AMVs in the future.
