After... what, eight? Years, a sequel is here. I'm sure fans of the show are hyped to no end. They kept the CG car quality intact, too!

Welp, jokes aside, it looks like we didn't have an Inital D topic (strange, tbh), so here it is.

I'll definitely get into this eventually, I still have yet to finish Stage 4. Seems like its being release in some bi-weekly subscription format though? Seems like that might be a hard simulcast license, if someone like Funi is even interested.

several years ago I watched about the first half of the first series, it was pretty good but I never got around to finishing it. How are the following series? better than the first, about the same or worse? Trying to decide if it's worth picking up again.

Well, its about time. Now it will have another wonderful season once again.

Wait, was there ever a second part of the live action movie? if there was then I must see it.

From what I've seen they've been better than the first so far. More focus on character interactions and development, though I hear 4 is pretty much ALL racing, so YMMV.

Rumor had it that the sequel was supposed to come out this year but...not looking likely.

Episode 10 was soo tense, this was a really amazing episode. So far it gets me wondering on how it will end

Looks like the manga is confirmed to end, so perhaps the anime will end up covering the whole story as well.
