Astronauts and space travel
Hey guys and girls!
I'm looking for some space travel animes with actual rockets and astronauts. Serious post apocalyptic themes prefered as well as anime after the year 2005 (due to the modern animation style and blurays).
So far I've got:
Memories - Magnetic Rose (well okay that was actually made in 1995 AFAIK )
Freedom
Planetes (just have to check it out first thouhg)
Any ideas?

Not really a space travel anime, but there's a scene with a starting rocket in 5cmps.

Ah! That's why AniDB listed it as "Space Travel". Very good suggestion. This scene might make a perfect intro in the video. Thx man!

Also a scene would be nice were you can see that some spaceship or station blows up the earth (or at least a planet). That would make a possible alternate intro :3

Watch this AMV and then use all the sources they used . Also Trigun has some spaceships in it.

I would suggest you check out Space Battleship Yamato 2199. Space based, and plenty of destruction scenery.

Re: Astronauts and space travel
Guys you are awesome. Very interessting animes here and plenty of usefull scenes. I love you all!
@qyll: Space Battle Ship Yamato 2199 looks really fitting. It probably gives me the grain of destruction and decay that the video idea needs.
@Zanzaben:
From your suggestion I got Wings Of Honneamise. I'm not done watching it yet, but it's with it's first half some sort of pretty nice slice of life anime. The artstyle fits very good my idea of the AMV.
Amazon.at doesn't have Millenium Actress on Bluray. I hope it's easily accessible (in my country and hardly any transfer costs) somewhere =/
