General AMV studio recruiting...

Postby OmniStrata » Fri Jul 19, 2002 11:21 pm

This is kind of odd but I'm asking anyway.

Any of you who wish to may try and join my studio. We're officially at one active and 3 inactive members. :(

If you're a newb, that's ok, but if you're a "stupid" newb (don't read guides, ask questions answered in guides, looking for easy hosting, etc.) then go elsewhere, or do what I did, make your OWN studio.

However, I'm asking this to people who may already be in their own studio if they wish to take part in mine. How you ask? Easy, make a video, that you don't want associated with your own studio label, with mine! As a separate release of course. If your kind enough and a reasonable person, yes I'll find some hosting for it. (oh yes, you of course get full credit for your video. ^_^)

It doesn't have to be a fun-fun dance addicting video like the ones I normally make. Truth is, I could use someone joining me who's more of a "Drama" master so to speak. I want to be able to not only make people enjoy happy vids, but be emotionally effected as well so I'm open minded. ( I want to learn how to make them you could say...)

Oh yes, one more thing. You have to be well equipped enough to handle your vids solo. If you have any questions pertaining to some troubles here and there (sometimes I'll "fill" holes in videos if I have the footage) I'll see what I can do as well.

Alright, Omni Strata Studios is now officially looking for a total of THREE applicants willing to take part in the "studio for enjoyment purposes only".

HAVE FUN! ^_^

Forgive me, but I never really understood the point of handeling a studio like this. I mean, I can understand if you got a gorup of people together with some REALLY wild ideas and you needed enough manpower to get it done in a reasonable ammount of time, but just having everyone make solo AMVs? I just don't get it. Who knows, I've been known to have things go over my head from time to time, such as why the DJ in the Mac commercials didn't just buy bigger speakers for her PC instead of getting a whole new machine.

I used to run a 2-3 man studio...

Till 2 of the members stopped making amvs...

This is why I prefer studio-less solo work.

Although I admit most amv studios make kickass webpages....

Yes SpPanda...

You would...

You sound reasonable enough and I'm not saying you should "quit" your current studio.

If you have a different theme/idea in a vid and you want to show it off in a new light you might say, then put it under our studio label!

^_^

I believe Kusoyaro did that with his "Stifler's Mom" vids...

i think groups are kinda useless.

everyone had their own style and taste that the studio just combines them into one webpage basically.

that's y i never joined any studio and made my own.

Man, I just got my own 'Hitori Studios' name up and running a couple months ago. Which hasn't taken off yet... :( I would like to work out some other video creation ideas with your studio OmniStrata!! I just recently created a semi dramatic/fun video which was sent to AMA and AX under the 'Hitori Studios' name. I would like to work together with your studio to make some of those "dramatic/emotional" AMVs. Maybe my dramatic vids would be under the 'Omni Strata Studios' name and all of my other vids would be under my studio. 8)

I prefer the "affiliate" studio method.

Where you really don't have members of your studio (other than yourself), but at the same time you have affiliates that make AMVs get hosted by your studio and also use your studio logo in their work.

Affiliates is much better and an affiliate can leave at any time, so it makes much easier on the studio owner and on the studio affiliate.

Personally if I get REALLY serious in to Video Making I plan to turn my studio into a business;; Hollywood Movie Trailers, Anime Trailers, TV Promos, and the such. Thats what my Studios - Next Generation Films Inc. as a business will do if I get the oppurtunity to.
